It is a spinoff from ‘Bones’ and has to do with a man based in Florida whose profession is to find people no matter how difficult that task may be. He comes with a military background and the show is already showing great signs of promise if the ratings are anything to go by.
The show was muted sometime in 2010 when it was announced that Fox were looking into developing a spinoff for the ‘Bones’ show. They wanted it to be built around the character that was going to be introduced in ‘Bones’ by the sixth season of the show. ‘Finders’ which is a creation of Hart Hanson was premiered on Fox on the 12th of January 2012 but it took years of careful planning to bring it to this stage and it is already paying off in terms if viewership.
The stage was set in season six of bones when the crew had to go to Florida to investigate a case. There was where the characters for the spinoff were introduced and they had a good reception. The lead characters for the show are Geoff Stults, Michael Clarke Duncan and Saffron Burrows and they all appeared in episode 19 of season 6. It was later announced that Saffron Burrows would only appear for the pilot episode but two more actors; Mercedes Masohn and Maddie Hasson would b joining the cast.
The reception of the show that it will have staying power so those who hop on board early will have a chance of following the show from this early stages. But the show can’t be viewed by everyone because of contractual obligations and restrictions. This episode was titled ‘The Boy with the Bucket’ was the last episode of the show and it left a memorable impression in the minds of fans. There are those who would indeed consider it to be the best of all the episodes of the show. Fans got to know only when Fox released the list of shows it renewed that ‘The Finder’ was not one of them. It was after this news that it delivered what could be its best episode ever. If only they had started out with such quality in the first instance then this may not have happened.
Fans got to meet Walter’s brother and learn about his estranged relationship with his dad because of the head injury that affected his brain. But after all was said and done, they reconciled. Walter’s search for his mom got him to prison and also made Isabel to loose her badge but all these could have been bypassed had his dad simply told the truth. Arnette O’Toole of ‘Smallville’ was lovely to watch.
Uncle Shad was bent on Willa and Timo getting married and had started sending out the invitations. It turned out that Willa lied her way into the marriage happening but she eventually broke it off and set out on a journey fans will never get to know. This was how the show came to its conclusion. It is kind of sad that it was not allowed to grow with time.
